About Your Trip

Head out to the heart of Louisiana’s duck hunting paradise with Captain Jacob for an unforgettable 4-hour hunt in Delacroix, LA! Known for its thriving marshes and world-class waterfowl hunting, Delacroix is the ultimate destination for avid hunters and first-timers alike. Captain Jacob’s expert guidance and local knowledge will ensure you’re set up in the best blinds to target a variety of species, including Blue-Winged Teal, Mallards, Gadwall, Pintails, and more depending on the season. Whether you’re an experienced hunter or new to the sport, Jacob’s welcoming style makes this trip enjoyable for all skill levels.

The day begins as you ride out to the blinds aboard a 17’ utility boat, perfect for navigating the marshes. Once you’re set up, you’ll utilize decoys and calling techniques to bring the birds into range, creating an action-packed and authentic Louisiana duck hunt. Captain Jacob will provide decoys and help ensure your setup is optimized for success, but you’ll need to bring your own waders, shotgun, and shells.

All harvested birds can be cleaned and prepped for you, making it easy to bring home your trophies. Just make sure to pack appropriate clothing for the weather, a valid Louisiana hunting license with a duck stamp, and your excitement for a classic Delacroix duck hunting adventure!

Jacob is the man. We showed up and he was ready to rock. Boat was super clean, seats already set up, etc. We got to the blind and started shooting quickly and shot most of our three limits in ones and twos in the next two hours. We got skunked the day before in the same area without Jacob so we could appreciate each and every one of those birds. Would highly recommend.
