Departing into both offshore and select inshore zones depending on conditions, this trip is all about targeting high-quality species while adapting to where the bite is strongest on any given day.

Offshore waters bring opportunities at some of the most exciting pelagic and reef species in the region. Depending on season and water conditions, you can expect to target Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Swordfish, Yellowtail, and Grouper. Each species offers a different style of fishing, from high-speed trolling strikes on Wahoo and Sailfish to deep dropping for Swordfish and working structure for hard-hitting Grouper. Mahi Mahi and Tuna often roam weed lines, current edges, and floating structure, delivering fast-paced action when conditions line up.

Captain Jonny brings strong local knowledge of these offshore systems and helps guide the approach based on conditions, water temperature, and bait movement. Whether running trolling spreads, setting up deep drop rigs, or positioning over productive structure, the goal is always to maximize opportunities and stay on active fish.

The trip accommodates up to four guests, making it a more personalized offshore experience where anglers can stay engaged throughout the day. This smaller group size allows for hands-on fishing, better rotation on rods, and a more tailored approach to techniques and target species.

Depending on conditions, the trip can also incorporate select inshore fishing when offshore waters are not ideal, ensuring flexibility and consistent opportunities to fish productive areas. This adaptability helps keep the day productive and focused on finding the best available bite.

Jonny grew up on the coast of Massachusetts and fell in love with fishing when he was 7 years old. Jonny's career took off in 1988 as he successfully navigated to Stellwagon Bank fishing grounds. He has fished with some of the best captains and mates along the Atlantic coast. Having won several shark tournaments, Jonny is a seasoned and knowledgeable charter Captain. In Massachusetts charters he specializes in: Striped Bass, Bluefish, Tuna, Sharks, Cod and Haddock. The last forty winters have been spent in Key West running finishing charters throughout the Keys, Costa Rica, Cabo San Lucas, Venezuela and included chasing trophy Mahi and Marlin, Sailfish and Yellowfin Tuna. He is a long time Coast Guard and licensed Captain.

In Stuart, Jonny has started offshore fishing charters for locals and visitors in the area. His expertise is offshore fishing charters with results. As someone who is always learning more, he recently spent the last few weeks refining his sword fishing skills in the Stuart area.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
