Independent Guide
Captain John isn't just a guide; he's a fixture on Lake Buchanan and the entire Highland Lakes region, earning the deep respect of anglers and fellow captains alike. With nearly three decades immersed in the guiding profession, his experience runs deeper than the lake itself. Holding a prestigious Master License from the U.S. Coast Guard, Captain John's expertise extends far beyond these familiar waters, encompassing the command of professional fishing vessels up to an impressive 92 feet.

To simply call
his passion for fishing an obsession would be a profound understatement. It's an all-consuming fire that has fueled countless successful expeditions across diverse aquatic landscapes, from the legendary Tongue of the Ocean to the cherished waters he now calls home. It's said there isn't a single fish, in any corner of the globe he's cast a line, that hasn't had the distinct pleasure (or perhaps, the sudden misfortune) of hearing his booming, signature declaration: "Fish On!" When you step onto Captain John's boat, you're not just hiring a guide; you're embarking on an adventure with a seasoned professional whose lifeblood flows with the rhythm of the water and the thrill of the chase. He's dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience, sharing his wealth of knowledge, and ensuring that you, too, get to hear those magical words ring out.

Response from John:
Sorry about the steps. I am glad we were on the fish today. We usually are. Thank you sir for coming out and fishing with me. I am glad you got to experience Lake Buchanan and how abundant the fish are here. Maybe next time I can pick you up at a different location, where there aren't any or many steps. God Bless You. Thanks again.
