Join Captain Patrick for the perfect introduction to saltwater fishing on this fun and informative 2-hour inshore adventure. Whether you're completely new to fishing, visiting the area for the first time, or simply looking for a shorter trip to get a taste of the local fishery, this outing is designed to give you a hands-on introduction to the exciting world of inshore angling.

During your trip, you'll learn the fundamentals of targeting some of the area's most popular saltwater species, including Speckled Trout, Redfish, Mackerel, Sheepshead, and other seasonal inshore favorites. Captain Patrick will provide a crash course on local fishing techniques, fish behavior, and the habitats that make these waters such productive year-round fisheries.

Don't let the shorter trip length fool you. There's still plenty of opportunity for action. Captain Patrick fishes many of the same productive locations featured on his longer charters, giving guests a legitimate shot at quality fish while learning the ropes. Captain Patrick is a great example of how a life-long passion for fishing can turn into a full-time job. He spent every moment he could spare on the water and in 2010 he became a professional angler. Captain Patrick won several tournaments including the Dauphin Island Rodeo and Gulf Coast Slam in the Flounder and Speckled Trout category. These days, he loves running charters and meeting new people! When you hop on one of Captain Patrick’s boats, you will be greeted with a smile and as soon as the boats leave the docks you can expect the joking to start!! Just like going fishing with a lifelong pal, you should feel right at home aboard Captain Patrick’s fleet.

How did you get started guiding?

I was a offshore deckhand for 5 years and got tired of getting beat up offshore so i started fishing tournaments and realized i was a good inshore fisherman so i started guiding.

What makes you different from other guides?

My brutal honesty… to elaborate, I’m not going to take someone just to earn a paycheck. I want each group to have the best time possible on the water, and if that means the day we are scheduled for isn’t fishable and i have to cram more trips into another day I’d rather work longer than take someone out to just earn a paycheck. On rough days when explaining this to customers i use the phrase “ if you just want to get beat up, i can take you to the parking lot with a baseball bat, and you’ll feel the same but save your money….. OR if you REALLY want to go I’ll take you but it’s not going to be fun” …

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

We vet our guides and only partner with the best of the best. Our guides do their very best to keep you safe, show you a great time, and send you home with a memorable experience shared with family and friends.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
