These trips are designed for serious anglers and bucket-list chasers who want a true offshore battle and the chance to cross bluefin tuna off their list.

Depending on location and fishing conditions, trips run 8 to 10 hours, giving Captain Doug the time needed to reach productive waters and adapt to where the fish are actively feeding. Once on the grounds, you’ll be targeting bluefin using a variety of proven techniques including live bait fishing, trolling, casting artificial lures, and vertical jigging. This mix of methods helps match the conditions and increases your chances of hooking into a quality fish.

Bluefin tuna are known for their raw power, speed, and endurance, making every hookup an intense fight that tests both gear and anglers. These are the kind of fish that can turn a calm day on the water into an unforgettable, high-energy experience the moment the rod bends.

Trips are limited to a maximum of 4 passengers, ensuring plenty of space and focused attention from the captain throughout the day. This smaller group size helps maximize efficiency when working fish and keeps the experience more personalized.

Please note that regulations can vary year to year based on federal guidelines. Under current federal law, any harvested bluefin tuna exceeding 73 inches must be sold by the boat or captain, and all rules and regulations will be followed in accordance with NOAA requirements.

Growing up on Cape Cod, Captain Doug spent most of his time on the water. In high school he worked on several different charter fishing boats learning the trade from some of the best in the business. In 2016 Doug went to captain school and received his 50 ton masters captain license and then started his charter business. In 2020 he purchased his current boat, a 2010 26 foot sailfish center console. In 2023 he upgraded the motors to twin 175ho Suzukis. In the spring time he targets winter flounder, black seabass and striped bass. During the summer he continues fishing for striped bass but also targets summer flounder (fluke) and bluefin tuna. Come fall he is generally hunting bluefin tuna. When your trip is booked Captain Doug touch base as he confirms the booking, and then again a few days prior to the trip to go over the final details, such as where to meet, what to bring, and what to expect.

Everything Else to Know

It’s a long day on the water. We provide everything you need for gear, bait, tackle and safety equipment. You just need to bring weather appropriate clothing and whatever food and drinks you want for the day. Tuna fishing has the potential to get dangerous so I ask you keep alcohol consumption to a minimum until the fishing is over. Beer only please, no hard alcohol and no glass bottles.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Before booking the trip we were sent pictures from Captain Doug that he regularly catches 30 to 40 pound striped bass etc. not only did we not catch one fish in our 4 hour trip, but we also saw boats all around us all over Cape Cod Bay catching big fish. Captain Doug also showed zero effort in teaching my children anything. He barely put a fishing rod in their hands. I can’t believe I spent $750 for this. Very disappointing experience with my children’s first Deep Sea Fishing excursion. I would be very wary of who you hiring you can’t just find anyone online I even asked the captain experiences company to reimburse me to some extent and I’ve gotten zero response.DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS GROUP! It is a SCAM!
