About Your Trip

Join Captain Lance for a private half-day fishing adventure along the coast, where every 4-hour trip offers something new and exciting on the water. Designed for 1 to 4 guests, this charter is perfect for families, friends, or anglers looking for a personalized experience targeting a wide variety of inshore and nearshore species.

Each day is different depending on conditions, tides, and season, but you can expect to target popular local fish such as red
drum, black drum, speckled trout, sheepshead, Spanish mackerel, amberjack, cobia, black sea bass, triggerfish, and more. Whether you’re working structure, drifting productive water, or covering nearshore areas, Captain Lance adjusts the approach to match where the fish are actively feeding.

You’ll be fishing aboard a well-equipped 2009 Parker 24-foot offshore center console designed for comfort, stability, and versatility. The boat features a full tower with a second station for enhanced visibility, helping locate fish and structure more efficiently throughout the trip. Powered by a new 2023 Suzuki 250HP outboard, the vessel delivers reliable performance and a smooth ride between fishing spots.

Onboard upgrades like JL Audio sound, SeaDek foam flooring throughout, and a roomy layout make for a comfortable and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Whether you’re actively fishing or relaxing between bites, the setup is built for both function and comfort.

This is a true private charter experience, giving you flexibility, attention, and a trip tailored to your group’s goals. From beginners to experienced anglers, Captain Lance ensures everyone has a chance to get involved and enjoy the action.

Join Captain Lance for a 4-hour private fishing trip where the fish are waiting, the boat is dialed in, and every outing is a fresh opportunity on the water.

Captain Lance has fished almost his entire life. Being introduced to fishing at an early age, he has developed a strong passion for the sport. He spent time and worked hard throughout the years to improve his angling skills. 15 years ago, he fell in love with saltwater fishing, and ever since he has spent his time becoming a top guide and learning more every day! He enjoys giving people the experiences he grew up with so they can love fishing as much as he does.

Captain Lance loves nearshore sight-casting for Cobia. He runs these charters during May or Jun. On other months, he spends time in the water searching for and sight casting Redfish, bait fishing for reds, trout and sheepshead. And when he isn't out fishing with his guests, he's usually still found on the water.

Our eco/island hopping/dolphin watching boat tour with Mike was amazing. He made sure we saw everything we came to see. My son saw dolphins in the wild up close for the first time. Each island stop was so cool seeing the different birds and water creatures. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the area. Highly recommend!!!

I would give the overall trip a 6 out of 10,
Mike our guide did all he could to put os on fish, without much luck. I believe the wind was a factor and in our never leaving the shallow sound areas. Also Mike stated with a child aboard he wasn’t comfortable with leaving the shallower sound areas. The overall experience was not what it was advertised to be. Maybe we will have better...

Response from Lance:
Hey Thomas, sorry the weather put a hindrance on the options today, like to start off by saying shallow water in the pamlico sound is some of the best fishing in the world, we have 50" red drum swimming around in less than 1' of water haha, but, its fishing brother, one day we kill em the next day its a struggle, some afternoons are better than mornings and vise versa... the ocean was rough,...

I hope you enjoyed the time spent with your dad and son and yall made some family memories catching what you did catch. Mike said the little boy seemed to have a ball!

Mike was the captain, but we still had a nice time. Fish were not biting today, and we only caught two bluefish over the 4 hour trip. However, he took us up and down the coast in attempts to catch more.
