This trip is all about exploring the waterways after dark in search of bullfrogs, offering a hands-on, family-friendly outing that is as fun as it is different from traditional fishing or hunting trips.

As the sun goes down, the marsh and surrounding waters come alive in a whole new way. Guests will travel through calm backwaters and shoreline edges where bullfrogs are commonly found, using lights and simple techniques to spot and safely harvest them. The experience is interactive and engaging, making it especially popular with kids and families who enjoy the excitement of spotting frogs in the dark and working together to catch them.

This is a relaxed, guided nighttime adventure focused on creating lasting memories in a truly unique Louisiana setting. Jerryd provides guidance throughout the trip, helping guests learn where to look, how to move through the environment, and how to safely and responsibly participate in the frogging experience.

All harvested frogs can be cleaned at the end of the trip, making it easy to take home your catch and enjoy a true Louisiana tradition. Frog cleaning service is included for convenience, so guests can focus on the experience while everything else is handled afterward.

Frogging is available year-round, with the exception of April and May when the season is closed. Size regulations apply, including a minimum length of 5 inches for bullfrogs and 3 inches for pig frogs, ensuring a sustainable and responsible harvest.

Lodging is available for an additional cost and can be arranged after booking, making it easy to turn this into a full weekend experience in the Louisiana outdoors.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
