About Your Trip

Although Lake St. Clair isn’t officially one of the five Great Lakes, it’s a vital part of the Great Lakes system, connecting Lake Huron in the north to Lake Erie in the south. Known for its diverse fishery and picturesque waters, this area offers an incredible opportunity to target prized species like Atlantic Salmon, Coho, and Steelhead.

Your trip, designed for up to two anglers, takes place during the prime salmon season, from April through
Memorial Day. Whether you’re an experienced angler or new to the sport, this trip offers a thrilling mix of techniques to maximize your chances of success. You’ll fish with both artificials and live bait, adapting strategies based on conditions and the targeted species. Expect heart-pounding action, whether it’s trolling for Coho and Atlantic Salmon or drift fishing for Steelhead in the river’s current.

You’ll be fishing aboard a well-equipped 24' cuddy cabin, powered by a 220-HP Ford V8 engine. This vessel is built for comfort and functionality, featuring a cozy cabin with seating to keep you comfortable between bites. It’s the ideal platform for chasing salmon on the open water or maneuvering through the productive stretches of the St. Clair River.

Your guide will provide all the necessary gear, including rods, reels, tackle, and bait, ensuring you’re set up for success. All you need to bring is appropriate clothing for the season, your Michigan fishing license, a cooler for any keepers (if regulations permit), and a readiness to make memories on the water.

Whether you’re chasing the acrobatic Steelhead, the powerful Atlantic Salmon, or the delicious Coho, this trip is your gateway to a day of fishing excitement on Lake St. Clair and the St. Clair River.
