About Your Trip

Gear up for an unforgettable fly fishing adventure with Captain Dallas on the legendary waters of the San Juan River! Whether you're a seasoned angler or just getting started, Captain Dallas is committed to finding your success on the water, making sure every trip is not just memorable—but one you'll be talking about for years to come. With years of experience on these scenic and productive rivers, Captain Dallas will ensure that every cast brings you closer to the fish of your dreams.

Captain Dallas runs intimate trips designed for 1-2 anglers on his boat, but if you're planning to bring a larger group, no worries—he can arrange for a second or third trusted guide to join in, ensuring everyone has a spot on the water and a shot at the perfect catch.

The most popular trips he offers are full-day and half-day guided fly fishing trips on some of the most picturesque and action-packed rivers in the Southwest. Full-day trips typically run 7-8 hours, and include one of Captain Dallas' famous riverside lunches—an experience in itself! For half-day trips, you’ll spend about 3.5-4 hours on the water, getting in plenty of quality fishing time. All gear, tackle, and flies are included, so all you need to bring is your fishing license and snacks

The San Juan River is truly one of a kind. This world-renowned trout fishery flows from below Navajo Reservoir and attracts fly anglers from across the globe thanks to its incredible year-round fishing and floatability. Whether you're wading through its calm, fish-filled waters or floating along in search of trout, you'll find that every season on the San Juan offers its own unique opportunities and challenges.

Every trip with Captain Dallas is as much about the journey as it is the destination. Along with catching fish, you'll walk away with new skills, local knowledge, and a deeper appreciation for the river. Whether it’s your first or fiftieth time on the San Juan, Captain Dallas’ expertise will make sure it’s a trip you won’t soon forget.

So, grab your fishing license, pack some snacks, and prepare for an incredible day on the water. With Captain Dallas, you’re not just booking a fishing trip—you’re setting yourself up for an unforgettable experience!
