About Your Trip

Join Captain Christian out of Sausalito, California, for a hands-on, personal fishing experience targeting delicious Dungeness Crab and Rockfish! With a spacious 35-foot “6-pack” boat—one of the largest of its kind in Northern California—Captain Christian offers an exclusive private charter experience for up to six passengers, perfect for families, friends, or small groups looking to enjoy a day on the water together. This vessel’s roomy layout, top-tier fishing technology, and comfortable onboard amenities—including a bathroom—mean you can focus on fishing and crabbing in style and comfort.

Your day begins as Captain Christian welcomes you aboard and shares the plan for your adventure. First, you’ll set the crab pots, giving you the chance to haul in fresh Dungeness Crab, a local delicacy known for its sweet, tender meat. While the traps do their work, Captain Christian will guide you to the best rocky reefs in the area to target hard-fighting Rockfish. With their bright colors and variety of species, Rockfish are not only fun to catch, but they’re also fantastic for the table. Captain Christian provides all the rods, reels, and tackle you’ll need, so you can leave your gear at home and focus on enjoying every moment.

On board, you’re welcome to bring your favorite food and drinks to keep you fueled throughout the day. Beer and wine are allowed, but please remember there’s a strict no hard alcohol policy to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. This trip is family-friendly, and Captain Christian gladly welcomes kids over the age of five to join in the fun. The crew creates an inviting and engaging atmosphere, making it a fantastic day out for anglers of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned pros.

While Captain Christian and his crew have an excellent success rate, fishing is never a guaranteed game. However, by limiting the boat to six passengers, they maximize the chances for each person to get hands-on time with the gear and land their own fish. Captain Christian’s dedication to ensuring everyone has a great day shines through, and he’ll be right there to provide guidance, support, and plenty of enthusiasm. You’ll be surrounded by Northern California’s stunning coastal scenery, with the chance to spot marine life along the way, making the experience just as memorable as the catch itself.

At the end of your trip, Captain Christian offers fish cleaning services for an additional fee, so you can bring your haul home ready to cook. All you need to bring is a California fishing license, some snacks and drinks, and a spirit of adventure. Captain Christian and his crew are here to take care of the rest, creating an unforgettable day of crabbing and fishing on the Northern California coast. Book your Crab and Rockfish private charter today, and get ready to experience the thrill, beauty, and bounty of the Pacific with one of the best captains in the business!
