About Your Trip

Looking to get the kids hooked on fishing? Captain Shaun’s 3-hour inshore children's trip is the perfect way to introduce young anglers to the water in a safe, exciting, and hands-on environment! Specifically designed for families with kids under 12, this trip combines education and fun, giving parents and children alike an unforgettable experience on the water.

Captain Shaun is a patient and knowledgeable guide who loves sharing his passion for fishing with the next
generation. Throughout the trip, he provides age-appropriate fishing lessons and easy-to-follow tutorials that help kids understand the basics of casting, baiting hooks, and reeling in fish. Whether it’s your child’s very first time holding a fishing rod or they’ve already got a few stories under their belt, this trip is designed to keep them engaged, entertained, and smiling from start to finish.

You’ll be fishing the calm, protected waters inshore, targeting a wide range of kid-friendly species like Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish, Jack Crevalle, Pompano, and more. These species are fun to catch, safe to handle, and provide just the right amount of fight for young anglers. You might even hook into a Redfish, Flounder, or a Gag Grouper to add some extra excitement to the day!

Your vessel for the trip comes fully equipped with top-of-the-line gear including GPS, a Garmin fishfinder, a wireless trolling motor for a quiet approach, a live bait well, and an onboard ice box. Captain Shaun provides all rods, reels, tackle, and bait—along with your fishing licenses and even fish cleaning if you decide to keep a few for dinner.

Just bring your favorite snacks, plenty of drinks, sun protection (including hats and reef-safe sunscreen), and get ready for a fantastic few hours on the water with the family. With a focus on learning, fun, and creating lasting memories, Captain Shaun’s 3-hour kids trip is the perfect introduction to fishing—and the start of a lifelong love for the sport!
