About Your Trip

Step aboard with Captain Ron for an inshore fishing adventure in the beautiful Halifax River, just outside Daytona Beach! Whether you’re a seasoned angler or introducing your family to the joys of fishing, Captain Ron’s trips offer the perfect mix of relaxation, excitement, and unforgettable memories. With his expertise and knowledge of the area, you’ll explore one of the most diverse estuaries on the East Coast while targeting a variety of species that make these waters their home.

The Halifax River is a true angler’s paradise, with winding creeks, mangrove marshes, and calm waters teeming with life. This unique ecosystem provides year-round fishing opportunities for species like Redfish, Snook, Black Drum, Flounder, and Speckled Trout. Depending on the season, you might also encounter Sheepshead in the winter, Spanish Mackerel in the spring, or even small Sharks during the summer months. And it’s not just the fishing that’s incredible—these waters are also home to playful Dolphins and gentle Manatees, making your trip even more special.

Captain Ron’s inshore trips are all about fishing in comfort and style while enjoying the stunning scenery of Central Florida’s coastal estuary system. You’ll fish the calm waters of the Halifax River using light tackle, targeting hard-fighting Redfish, sneaky Snook, and flat-out delicious Flounder. There’s also a chance to reel in Mangrove Snapper, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, and more as you work your way through this vibrant fishery.

One of the best parts about Captain Ron’s charters is that they’re family-friendly and beginner-friendly. Whether you’re bringing the kids for their first fishing experience or looking to enjoy a relaxing day on the water with friends, Captain Ron is patient, knowledgeable, and happy to accommodate anglers of all ages and skill levels.

Your trip includes everything you need to fish—licenses, tackle, bait, and ice are all provided, so you can focus on having fun and reeling in your catch. Once back at the dock, Captain Ron can clean your fish for you (for an additional fee), so you can take home a fresh, delicious meal to celebrate the day’s success.

All you need to bring is your favorite food, drinks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera to capture the fun! Captain Ron provides a cooler with ice for your snacks and drinks, or you’re welcome to bring your own cooler if you prefer. You’re also welcome to bring beer or wine (in cans or plastic bottles only, please), but no liquor or illegal substances are allowed on board.

Whether you’re chasing Redfish through the maze of creeks, watching Dolphins play in the distance, or teaching your kids how to cast their first line, Captain Ron’s trips are about more than just fishing—they’re about creating memories that will last a lifetime. Book your trip today and discover the magic of fishing the Halifax River with Captain Ron!
