Your trip begins at Ponce Inlet, the gateway to the Atlantic Ocean and one of the most legendary fishing spots in the Daytona Beach area. Known for its proximity to prime fishing grounds, Ponce Inlet ensures you’ll spend less time traveling and more time fishing. Whether you’re after a prized Bull Redfish or exploring the reefs for Snapper and Grouper, the action starts as soon as you leave the dock.

Captain Ron specializes in bottom fishing these vibrant nearshore reefs, where you’ll target species like Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Flounder, Black Drum, Sea Bass, Whitings, and Weakfish. Depending on the season, you’ll also encounter Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, and Sheepshead feeding in these productive waters. Captain Ron Hatcher is a native of Volusia County, home to Daytona Beach. He has been fishing the waters in and around Daytona Beach since the age of seven.

Captain Ron has extensive knowledge of the best local fishing spots from the offshore reefs off the coast of Daytona Beach to the brackish backwaters of the Halifax River basin. He has many years of experience fishing Ponce Inlet, famous for attracting snook, doormat size flounder and schools of monster bull redfish each autumn.

Captain Ron is a patient and amiable fishing guide who loves sharing his knowledge and experience with other anglers. He is a patient instructor of first time anglers and an expert local guide to experienced fishermen.

Captain Ron is a U.S. Coast Guard certified charter boat captain.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 2 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 2 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
