About Your Trip

Join Captain Griffin for an unforgettable fishing adventure in the waters surrounding Fort Myers Beach! As a proud Florida native who grew up on this beautiful island, Captain Griffin has spent a lifetime exploring and mastering the diverse ecosystems of Southwest Florida. His passion for fishing started at the age of 2, and now, with decades of experience, he’s ready to share his expertise with you. Whether you’re a seasoned angler chasing your next trophy or a first-timer looking to reel in your very first catch, Captain Griffin will make sure your trip is as exciting as it is memorable.

You’ll fish aboard a top-of-the-line 2016 Pathfinder 2200TE, a boat designed for ultimate performance in inshore and nearshore waters. Powered by a 2016 Yamaha 200 Vmax SHO, it combines speed and fuel efficiency with a smooth, dry ride. Fully outfitted with a Garmin GPS/fishfinder, a 10-foot Power Pole shallow water anchor, and a Minn Kota trolling motor, this boat is built for serious fishing. There’s even an Engel 65 cooler stocked with ice-cold water to keep you refreshed throughout the trip.

Fort Myers is famous for its endless back bays, mangrove shorelines, and nearshore waters teeming with fish. Inshore, you can target iconic species like Redfish, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, and Tarpon (season permitting). Venture a bit further out, and you’ll have the chance to hook Kingfish, Tripletail, Gag Grouper, Sheepshead, Cobia, and more. Whatever your fishing goals, Captain Griffin’s extensive local knowledge and adaptability ensure you’ll be in the right spot at the right time.

Captain Griffin offers a variety of fishing techniques, from light tackle and spinning to live baiting and bottom fishing. He prepares live bait ahead of time, so you can start fishing the moment you hit the water. Whether you’re chasing inshore species or testing your skills against nearshore fighters, Captain Griffin has the gear, experience, and expertise to make your trip a success. Anglers of all ages are welcome, and Captain Griffin takes pride in helping children and beginners learn the ropes and reel in their first fish.

Half-Day Trip
Explore the inshore shallows targeting Redfish, Snook, Trout, and Tarpon, or head into the nearshore waters for Kingfish, Tripletail, Gag Grouper, Sheepshead, and more. This trip is perfect for a quick adventure and a taste of Southwest Florida’s incredible fishing.

3/4-Day Trip
Spend a little more time on the water for even more fishing action! Fish inshore for species like Redfish and Snook, or head nearshore to battle Kingfish, Cobia, and Tripletail. With extra time, you can mix it up and explore both environments for a wider variety of catches.

Griffin was excellent. He was very knowledgeable above where and when to fish for each species. We caught everything except a redfish, if we had caught one it would have been a “grand slam”.
I highly recommend him as a guide.
