About Your Trip

Step aboard Captain Brandon’s beautiful Cape Horn 31T and get ready for a fast-paced nearshore fishing adventure out of Destin. This fully equipped offshore-ready vessel provides everything needed for a productive and comfortable day on the water as you head out to the nearby reefs and wrecks in search of some of the Gulf’s most exciting bottom species.

On this trip, you’ll be fishing some of Destin’s most productive nearshore structure, targeting hard-fighting and highly
sought-after species such as Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, and Amberjack. These waters are known for holding steady action year-round, and every stop has the potential to produce quality fish depending on conditions and seasonality.

Captain Brandon will tailor the fishing approach based on the day’s weather, current, and fish behavior. Techniques may include free-lining live bait, bottom fishing with live or cut bait, vertical jigging with both high-speed and slow-pitch presentations, drifting over productive zones, or working topwater lures when conditions allow. This flexible approach helps maximize your chances of success and keeps the fishing dynamic throughout the trip.

The Cape Horn 31T is a capable offshore platform designed to handle a variety of sea conditions while keeping anglers comfortable and focused on fishing. Whether you are an experienced angler or brand new to offshore fishing, Captain Brandon provides the gear, guidance, and support needed to enjoy a smooth and productive day.

All essential trip details are covered, including rods, reels, bait, fishing licenses, and fuel. The trip price includes up to four anglers, with space available for up to six total guests for an additional fee for the fifth and sixth anglers. At the end of the trip, your catch can be cleaned and filleted, making it easy to take home fresh Gulf seafood or enjoy a catch-and-release experience depending on your preference and regulations.

From powerful Amberjack over deep structure to tasty Snapper and Grouper on the reef, this nearshore Destin fishing trip offers nonstop opportunity and variety just a short run from the dock. It’s an ideal choice for anglers looking for big action without going far offshore, all with the guidance of Captain Brandon on the productive waters of the Emerald Coast.
