You'll be fishing from a spacious and powerful 38’ Sportfisher that’s built for comfort and performance, perfect for groups of up to 8 anglers. With an experienced captain and crew, you'll be in great hands as you cruise the bay and beyond, using proven techniques like drift fishing and trolling to get on the fish fast.

Depending on the conditions and what’s biting, you could find yourself tangling with hard-fighting Jack Crevalle, colorful Mahi Mahi (Dorado), speedy Skipjack Tuna, sharp-jawed Needlefish, or even the elusive Roosterfish. These species are not only a thrill to catch, but make for great photos—and in some cases, a delicious meal back on shore!

Captain Steve and his crew bring top-tier gear to every trip, including fresh lines, fluorocarbon leaders, a full spread of lures and hooks, and live bait to match what the fish are feeding on. A cooler full of ice is also on board to keep your drinks—and your catch—chilled. They take pride in their tackle and keep it tournament-ready, so you can focus on the fight and not worry about your gear letting you down.

There is a $41 peso port fee that they will charge you when you enter the pier gate.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Steve will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Captain Experience has not disappointed us yet. This is the second trip of have used them on first in Cancun and now in Puerto Vallarta both times with kids. This trip was everything we could ask for. Started off with the kids catching a handful of bait fish then we found a mother Humpback Whale and her calf that put on one hell of a show from 40 yards away. Ended the day with 2...

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
