Sheepshead are the name of the game on this trip, and these stripe-sporting, toothy bait thieves are as fun to catch as they are delicious on the dinner plate. Captain David knows all the hotspots around the local pilings, bridges, and oyster-laden structures where these fish love to hang out. You’ll be using live bait and light tackle to entice the bite, and bottom fishing is the go-to method to get down to where they lurk. Hooking into one of these fish takes a bit of finesse—but once they’re on the line, the fight is on!

While Sheepshead are the primary target, don’t be surprised if you hook into a bonus Redfish, Flounder, or Black Drum along the way. These inshore waters are full of life, and there’s always the chance for a surprise catch to add to the excitement.

You’ll be fishing aboard Captain David’s 21’ Palm Beach bay boat—a clean, reliable ride powered by a 150HP Yamaha engine. Outfitted with GPS, fishfinder, a wireless trolling motor, and an ice box to keep your drinks and catches cool, this boat is made for sneaking into the shallows and getting right on top of the fish. There’s no restroom onboard, but for a short inshore trip, you’ll be too busy fishing to notice.

Captain David provides everything you need to make the most of your trip: all rods, reels, tackle, and live bait are included. He’ll even clean your catch back at the dock so you can head home ready to cook up a fresh meal. Feel free to bring along your favorite snacks and drinks (just no glass bottles), and if you want to bring the kids, this trip is absolutely family-friendly.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
