Get ready for an unforgettable day chasing hard-fighting striped bass on the beautiful waters of Lake Murray with Captain William! With over 30 years of experience fishing these waters, Captain William knows exactly where to find the bite and how to put you on fish, no matter the season. Whether you're a seasoned angler or brand new to striper fishing, this trip is all about making memories with family and friends while experiencing the thrill of watching those rods bend!

Depending on the time of year and current conditions, you’ll be using a variety of proven techniques to hook into some trophy stripers. From dropping live or cut bait on down rods to pulling planer boards or throwing topwater plugs, you'll get hands-on experience with different fishing styles and tactics. Not only will you learn what baits work best, but Captain William will also teach you how to hook your own bait, properly net fish, and gain a deeper understanding of the incredible fishery Lake Murray has to offer.

But that’s not all—this trip is also a great opportunity to learn about the cutting-edge electronics that help put more fish in the boat. Captain William will walk you through how he uses Garmin DownScan, LiveScope, the Thumper, and the Splasher to locate and attract stripers, giving you an inside look at how technology plays a key role in modern fishing.

You'll be fishing aboard a 22’ Sea Pro center console, powered by a reliable 200 HP Yamaha engine—a perfect setup for navigating the lake and keeping you comfortable throughout the trip. The boat is fully equipped with a live well to keep bait fresh, a fish cooler for your catch, and all the rods, reels, and tackle you'll need. Captain William even offers fish cleaning for a small additional fee, so you can take your fresh catch home ready to cook.

I’ve been fishing Lake Murray since 1993 and really enjoy being on the water. I have a passion for helping people make memories with family and friends and kids. Chasing stripers and watching that rod bend is an amazing feeling. Clients will learn what type of bait we use be able to hook their bait themselves net fish and learn about our fishery we have at Lake Murray . Clients will also learn about all the different electronics that I will use to help catch stripers from the garmin downscan to livescope to the thumper and the splasher and why we use these tools While I’m not on the water I enjoy spending time with my family and friends sporting events and just relaxing.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 5 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 5 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
