About Your Trip

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate/ Second Captain. It’s customary to tip the Mate/ Second Captain. Spend the day finding out what the fishing in Panama City Beach is all about! Captain Ron and Captain Gidget will be your guides, bringing aboard years of local experience. Most importantly be ready for a great time and making memories to last a lifetime.

Depending on the season, you might hook into Red Snapper,
Gag Grouper, Gray Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, and anything else that bites. During the trip, you might be trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Your day begins aboard a 26’ Sea Hunt center console that can carry up to 6 anglers. It has all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is available.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. It’s always wise to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. No glass bottles.

While not required, be assured all safety precautions are followed. We voluntarily request the United States Coast Guard to complete a regular vessel safety check. Rest assured the boat has passed the inspection and gone above and beyond on safety precautions.

Independent Guide
I have been an avid fisherman my entire life. My love for the sea has gone back over 45 years, with the first time I saw the movie JAWS. While that terrified many people it captivated me. I have been fishing in the ocean ever since. I retired from law enforcement after 30 years and have made it my goal to bring people closer to the seas. In my time as Captaining a boat I have experienced first hand the joy of being able to see a kiddos first time feeling the tug on their rod as a fish bites at the other end. Then seeing that kiddo reel in not just a fish but their first fish. We do not just take people out for fishing. We take them out for the memories that can never be taken away. We aim to provide the best fishing experience around.
