We had a great time with Capt LG. Weather was not good but LG found fish and we had fun time. His location at Galveston Yacht Basin is really convenient for people staying on the Island. Will definitely fish with him again and weather permitting will try the jetties next time!.

Boat captain was accommodating on pick up and drop off. We purchased a 5 hour trip inlet. My child was sea sick shortly into the first lines being dropped. We asked to take her back. After we went back out we weren’t “guided” so much. The man dropped the lines in the water and then kind of sat back. We had to ask questions and for guidance. When we didn’t do something correctly for him we were not so much guided through the process of what he wanted or expected from us, just when we were doing something wrong it felt like we were with a cranky dad.
Pick up at 630 a.m.
At ten he said we had thirty minutes left. I said forget it just pack it up. We had only cought a couple catfish and a baby shark.
We weren’t offered to keep or photo or clean anything. He just threw them
Back in the water. $750? I’d say skip this trip for sure. Not impressed at all. Let’s add on the way to drop off my sick daughter who was already crying and feeling bad for impacting the vacation, he was talking about her in front of her on the phone making her feel worse. Repeating over and over he had a seasick one and chuckling.
Also kept telling my son he was slow as a frog and telling him he couldn’t pay attention to any dang thing- as well as duh. Duh. Duh. When he made an observation. If I wasn’t in the middle of the ocean on another man’s property I would have been much more vocal. Kind of feel like your in an unsafe situation if you can’t feel comfortable telling your guide to stop talking shit about your kids

Response from Captain Experiences:
Hey Dawn, this definitely does not sounds like the kind of experience we want our customers to have. We never want anyone to feel unsafe out on the water and will have a chat with LG about the behavior you witnessed. I hope we can make things right if you and your family are willing to try again. Please give us a call and we will get you hooked up!
