About Your Trip

Make your next trip to North Myrtle Beach an adventure with Captain Scotty and his team! Whether you’re fishing the scenic inshore waters, exploring nearshore reefs, or working the backcountry, you’re in for an action-packed day on the water. With years of experience navigating these waters, Captain Scotty knows exactly where to find the fish and how to get them biting.

Depending on the conditions and season, you could hook into Flounder, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, Black Drum, and more. You’ll be using light tackle to troll and bottom fish, giving you plenty of chances to battle hard-fighting inshore species. Whether you're a seasoned angler or brand new to fishing, Captain Scotty and his first mate will guide you every step of the way to make sure you have a fun and successful trip.

You'll be fishing aboard a 22’ Carolina Skiff bay boat, a sturdy and spacious vessel that comfortably accommodates up to six passengers. It’s fully equipped with GPS, a fishfinder, a live bait well, a wireless trolling motor, and an ice box to keep your drinks and snacks cool. Rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait are all included, and depending on the day, you may even have the chance to catch your own bait before heading out to deeper waters.

Families are more than welcome on board, and if you’re bringing kids, be sure to check in advance about child-sized life vests. Just bring some snacks, sun protection, and a great attitude—Captain Scotty will take care of the rest. There will be drinks available, and if you’d like to bring your own, just let the captain know. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid glass bottles and hard liquor.

Your fishing license is covered, and when the trip is over, Captain Scotty and his team will even clean and fillet your catch so you can take home the freshest seafood dinner. Trips are available at 8 AM and 1 PM, so you can start your day on the water or head out for an afternoon bite. The first mate will be working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly, so it’s customary to tip them 10–20% for their efforts.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
