About Your Trip

Step aboard with Captain Dan for an unforgettable fishing adventure on Lake Michigan, where you’ll have the chance to reel in Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead, Lake Trout, and more! From May through October, these waters are teeming with trophy fish, and with a little luck, you’ll be landing some serious catches. Whether you're a seasoned angler or brand new to fishing, Captain Dan and his crew are ready to give you a fantastic day on the water.

This trip is perfect for everyone—including families! Kids are more than welcome to join, and if you need a child-sized life vest, just let Captain Dan know in advance, and he’ll have one ready for you. Make sure to bring some snacks to keep the crew fueled—nobody wants to be fishing on an empty stomach!

You'll be fishing aboard a spacious and comfortable 36’ Tiara Open, designed to accommodate up to six passengers with ease. The boat is fully outfitted with GPS, radar, a fishfinder, and even a refrigerator to keep your drinks and snacks cool. There’s also air conditioning and a toilet on board for added convenience. The vessel is wheelchair accessible, making it easy for everyone to join in on the fun.

Captain Dan provides everything you need for a successful day on the water, including high-quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Once you reach the target depth, the crew will set lines and start trolling for Salmon and Trout. With both light and heavy tackle options, you'll have the best setup to take on the hard-fighting fish of Lake Michigan. To make sure the trip runs smoothly, there’s also an experienced First Mate on board who works hard to keep everything running like clockwork. A 15-20% tip for their effort is always appreciated.

Before heading out, be sure to grab a Michigan fishing license—you can easily find all the details online. Pack sunglasses, non-spray sunscreen, and plenty of bottled water to stay comfortable throughout the trip. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but leave the hard liquor and glass bottles at home.

At the end of the trip, Captain Dan and his crew will clean and fillet your catch, so you can take home fresh Salmon or Trout ready for the grill. Whether you're chasing a trophy King Salmon or just looking to enjoy a relaxing day on the water with family and friends, this Lake Michigan trip has everything you need for an incredible experience.
