Get ready for an exciting day on the water with Captain Dale as you explore the rich fishing grounds of Morehead City, NC! From shallow inshore waters to nearshore reefs, wrecks, and rock jetties, this area offers nonstop fishing action—and Captain Dale knows just where to go to make the most of it.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 24’ Sea Fox center console that comfortably fits up to four anglers. It’s a great setup for families, small groups, or fishing buddies looking to hook into a variety of species. Whether you’re drifting over the flats or bottom fishing offshore structure, this versatile boat is built for it all.

Depending on the season and where the bite is hottest, you might be targeting anything from hard-fighting Cobia and speedy Mahi Mahi to Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Sheepshead. On longer trips or when the weather allows, you’ll also have a shot at Triggerfish, Gag Grouper, Atlantic Mackerel, Bonito, and even Great Barracuda.

This trip covers a wide range of fishing techniques—spinning, popping, jigging, trolling, drift fishing, and bottom fishing—all depending on the conditions and your target species. If you're up for it, you can even toss the cast net and help catch bait for the day.

Captain Dale provides all rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and your fishing license, so you're fully covered on the essentials. Just bring along sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, snacks, and drinks to stay comfortable. Kids are welcome aboard, and life jackets are provided—just check in advance to confirm proper sizing. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of yourown you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
