For anglers looking to take things to the next level, Captain Sean’s Extended Day Canyon Trip is the ultimate offshore adventure. This 12-hour deep sea run targets the legendary Baltimore, Washington, and Poor Man’s Canyons, located about 60 miles off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland—where the true giants of the Atlantic roam.

This trip is built for serious offshore fishing enthusiasts ready to spend a full day in pursuit of Tuna, Sharks, Mahi Mahi, Billfish, and deep-dropping for Tilefish. With a wide range of techniques in play—trolling, chunking, chumming, and deep dropping—Captain Sean and his crew are dialed in to put you on the fish, no matter what’s biting.

You’ll kick off the day early, with a 3:30 AM show time at the dock. The crew will be reaching out to you the day before to confirm exact departure details. Once you're aboard and underway, it’s a smooth run out to the canyons, where warm eddies from the Gulf Stream stir up bait balls and spark aggressive feeding frenzies from pelagics.

On the troll, get ready for screaming reels with Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, and even White and Blue Marlin on the line. When the conditions are right, chunking and chumming can produce epic Tuna bites, while the deeper drop zones hold tasty Golden Tilefish—a prized catch and a real treat for the table. And of course, the offshore shark action is always on the menu, with the potential to hook into Mako, Thresher, or Blue Sharks in deeper water.

Captain Sean provides all gear and essentials, including rods, reels, terminal tackle, lures, bait (fresh or live), and fishing licenses for everyone on board. All you need to bring are your drinks (no glass bottles), food, coolers, cameras, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, non-marking shoes, and a few extra layers—it tends to be cooler offshore, especially in the early morning.

Fish cleaning is available at the dock after the trip, so you’ll be heading home with your catch ready for the grill or freezer. Just a heads-up—mates work for tips, and it’s customary to tip 15–20% based on their outstanding service throughout the day.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.
You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Sean will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 21 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 21 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
