About Your Trip

Are you thinking about exploring the wild beauty of coastal Georgia by water? Captain David offers 1- to 2-hour eco tours for up to six passengers, perfect for those looking to experience the peaceful side of the Lowcountry. These relaxing boat rides showcase the region’s natural landscapes and give you the chance to encounter some of its most iconic wildlife.

One route takes you up the Ogeechee River, through historic old rice fields that now
serve as a thriving habitat for a wide range of species. As you glide through the winding creeks, it’s common to spot alligators resting along the banks, wild hogs foraging in the marsh grass, and bald eagles flying overhead. The slow pace of the tour allows for plenty of time to observe and appreciate the quiet beauty of this untouched environment.

Another option is to head out toward Ossabaw Sound, where the river meets the Atlantic. This coastal route is ideal for watching dolphins as they surface and play in the open water. You’ll also see a variety of shorebirds, and often spot eagles scanning the saltmarsh from high above. The mix of tidal waters, barrier islands, and wide-open skies creates a constantly shifting landscape that’s both scenic and full of life.

These eco tours are ideal for families, birdwatchers, photographers, or anyone who wants to slow down and connect with nature. Whether you're navigating the peaceful backwaters of the Ogeechee or riding toward the sound in search of dolphins, each trip offers a memorable glimpse into one of Georgia’s most beautiful and biodiverse regions—guided by someone who knows every turn of the tide.
