About Your Trip

Get Hooked on the Hot Tarpon Bite with Captain Paco in San Juan!

If you’re chasing the thrill of hooking into a legendary Silver King, Captain Paco’s half-day Tarpon trip in the calm backwaters of San Juan is the experience for you. With action-packed fishing in one of the top five Tarpon destinations in the world, this adventure is perfect for anglers of all skill levels—and it all goes down just five minutes from the
San Juan International Airport.

These protected backcountry waters are teeming with life and deliver consistent hookups on Tarpon and Snook. Forget the open bay—this is where the fish are! With no fishing pressure and calm conditions, you’ll get the perfect mix of relaxation and rod-bending excitement. Alongside Tarpon and Snook, you might also hook into feisty Jack Crevalle, toothy Barracuda, or tasty Mangrove Snapper, all while spotting wild iguanas and gentle manatees gliding through the mangroves.

You’ll fish aboard a fully rigged 18’ Silver King flats boat, a vessel built to battle giants. Outfitted with GPS, fishfinder, a live bait well, poling platform, and a spacious deck, this boat is ready to take on the biggest backwater bruisers. It comfortably accommodates up to four anglers and is also wheelchair accessible, so everyone is welcome aboard.

Whether you're a seasoned pro aiming to land a trophy, or bringing the kids along for their first big catch, Captain Paco’s got you covered. He loves teaching young anglers how to land their first Tarpon and creates a safe, family-friendly atmosphere that’s as fun as it is unforgettable.

Your trip includes top-quality rods, reels, tackle, live bait, lures, fishing licenses, and even cold drinks to keep you refreshed. You’ll use a variety of techniques depending on conditions and what’s biting, including light tackle, bottom fishing, and even fly fishing for the purists.

So grab your hat, lather on the sunscreen, and get ready for a half day filled with big bites, beautiful scenery, and memories that’ll last a lifetime. Let Captain Paco show you just how exciting Tarpon fishing in San Juan can be!
