Eight hours on the Gulf out of Orange Beach with Captain Dale puts your group on productive offshore water with enough time to work the bottom properly and target a genuine variety of species. This trip is built around red snapper and vermillion snapper as the primary targets, two of the Gulf's most reliable and sought-after bottom fish that hold on the offshore structure in numbers throughout the season.

Captain Dale and his crew handle all the coaching and rigging so no prior fishing experience is needed to have a great day on the water. Whether your group is made up of seasoned anglers or first-timers picking up a rod for the first time, the format is welcoming and the pace gives everyone a real shot at quality fish across a full eight hours offshore.

Your group fishes from a 38-foot Hatteras Sportfisher, a classic and capable offshore platform with the size and stability to handle a full day on the Gulf comfortably. There is plenty of room on deck for your group to spread out and fish without feeling crowded, and the Hatteras gives Captain Dale the range and fishability to work the best bottom structure the area has to offer.

Eight hours is the sweet spot for serious bottom fishing without pushing into the kind of commitment that wears a group down. Enough time to be thorough, targeted, and productive without overstaying your welcome on the water.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

We had a great near-shore trip again this year. This is the third year in a row that I have booked a trip out of Orange Beach with Captain Experiences.
The purpose of these trips has been to provide my grandson with memories of fishing in the Gulf each June. Catching fish has never been the objective. If he catches something, that's just a great bonus. Although there were three of us on the charter, the only one "fishing" was my grandson.
Dale was unable to captain our trip and our "substitute" captain and his two mates were great. Turns out that Captain Mitch is the husband of the captain of our trip last year, Sara, and one of the mates was their daughter.
My experience with Captain Experiences has always been good with no difficulties in scheduling, performance or the trip itself. I will be booking another trip next June.

Our group of 12 went fishning with Captain Dale and crew in Orange Beach, Alabama on 11/24/23 the day after Thanksgiving and we had such a wonderful time. We didn't know if our luck at that time of year would be good but Captain Dale's extensive experience and knowledge got us right where we needed to be and OMG we didn't stop catching fish. It was the highlight of our Gulf Shores vacation. And we highly recommend booking Captian Dale through Captain Experiences whose process is easy, convenient, and no hassle booking . Excellent trip, got our limit of Red Snapper. Older boat but in good condition. Deck hand kept us baited up and after catch right back in the water. When bait slowed Dale moved quickly to different location and back on the bait.

Good experience for my two novice 15 year old young men.
