About Your Trip

Get ready to experience one of the South’s most legendary fisheries with Captain Corey on beautiful Santee Cooper Lake. With a lifetime of experience on these waters and a strong tournament background, Corey offers guided trips that are both laid-back and laser-focused—perfect for anglers who want to catch fish, enjoy the scenery, and learn a thing or two along the way.

Santee Cooper has earned its reputation as a bass fishing powerhouse, regularly featured in
Bassmaster’s Top 100 Lakes in the U.S. for its trophy Largemouth. Corey knows this lake inside and out, and his time spent chasing bass here—both recreationally and competitively—means he’s always dialed in on the latest patterns. Whether you're targeting fish deep in timber, cruising flats, or holding on hydrilla edges, Corey brings the knowledge and gear to help you get on them.

Starting in 2023, Corey began running trips professionally, and 2024 marks his first full season as a USCG-certified guide and full-time tournament angler. His passion for the sport and time on the water shows in every trip. You’ll be fishing from a well-equipped bass boat, using quality rods, reels, and electronics to stay on the bite. And while bass are the main draw, Corey also runs trips for Catfish and Striper—making this a versatile option for anglers and families alike.

Half and full day trips are available, with bass trips accommodating up to three anglers. Whether you're looking to land your first bass or refine your skills alongside a tournament-tested pro, Corey will tailor the trip to meet your needs. He's happy to welcome families, kids, and beginners—and there's plenty to enjoy out on the water even beyond the fishing, from wildlife sightings to the scenic beauty of Santee Cooper.

Just bring your South Carolina fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, and drinks. Corey provides all the tackle and gear you’ll need for a smooth, enjoyable day. If you're looking for a fun, educational, and productive trip with someone who truly knows Santee Cooper, this is it.

Independent Guide
Corey has been fishing on Santee Cooper Lake his entire life. His grandfather was an avid fisherman and provided guiding services for Catfish and Stripers on Santee Cooper for 58 years. From a young age, Corey naturally found a passion and love for fishing.

At the age of 10 he became his Grandfathers 1st mate over his summer breaks from school and his free weekends. For 6 years he followed in his grandfathers foot steps learning as much as possible
about fishing on Santee Cooper Lake.

Now at the age of 35, Corey is taking the knowledge, experiences, and life lessons learned over the years and is helping other anglers create memories on Santee Cooper Lake that will last a lifetime!

Corey is also a very successful bass tournament angler and regularly competes in Bass Tournaments all over South Carolina. 2024 is Corey’s first full year as a professional fisherman, both as a tournament angler and as a USCG approved guide.
