About Your Trip

Since the trip will be wading only, the distance of the trip will be as far up/down the river you desire to go. We can also target a certain species. The Llano River has multiple species of fish! That is the beauty of the Llano River!

Meals are not provided. However, please bring any snacks you wish to. Please bring plenty of water for hydration. If you forget, I always have extra. I also bring extra snacks in case you don't have any.

If you already have fly rods, please bring them with you (5-7 wt.). If you like to catch big fish, it is recommended that you bring a bigger rod. I always fish with my 7 weight as I seem to run into big fish (not always but I use it just in case). If you need equipment, I can supply it for you!

My trips will be tailored to your wishes! We will be structure fishing (both top & bottom fishing). Instruction is also provided. If you need help with casting, I will help you out! On our trip, you will receive a lot of personal, caring touches to the experience! I will tailor your trip based upon your personal needs! My desire is to provide you with an awesome experience on the water!

WHILE EMPLOYED BY SPORTSMANS FINEST, IN BEE CAVES, TX, I WORKED IN THE FLY SHOP FOR 11 YEARS. ALONG WITH THE RETAIL END OF MY CAREER, I WAS A FLY CASTING INSTRUCTOR. I HAD SO MANY OF MY DEVOTED CUSTOMERS REQUEST ME TO TAKE THEM FISHING! AT THAT TIME, I DECIDED TO PURSUE GUIDING! NOT ONLY TO PUT MY CLIENTS ON FISH BUT TO TEACH THE VARIOUS ASPECTS OF FISHING TACTICS AND ENJOY THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE!

Everything Else to Know

I recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip. In addition, you will need the appropriate wading socks and boots. Also, recommend that you bring along stripping gloves or finger strips. I will be providing the flies for our trip. However, feel free to bring along your favorite flies as desired. Please bring a wading staff to get places if necessary.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
