About Your Trip

Get ready to experience one of the most legendary inshore fisheries in the country with Captain Clay and his team. Fueled by the nutrient-rich waters of the Mighty Mississippi, the southeast Louisiana delta is a true haven for anglers—where nearly 40% of North America’s soil and sediment feed into a web of bayous, marshes, and flats teeming with life. This is the heart of the action, and Captain Clay knows it like the back of his hand.

You’ll be fishing aboard a Blackjack 256—a sleek, handmade 26’ bay boat powered by a 400hp Mercury Verado and equipped with dual Power-Poles to keep you locked on the bite. These boats are built for performance, gliding easily through shallow water while providing a smooth ride as you chase down Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and more.

Trips can be booked in the morning or afternoon depending on availability, with most mornings kicking off at first light from Venice Marina—or, if you’re staying on a houseboat, Captain Clay can pick you up dockside. Each trip runs about 8 hours and includes everything you need: top-tier tackle, live bait, ice, and even fish cleaning at the end of the day.

Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned angler, Captain Clay and his crew are here to make sure your time on the water is nothing short of unforgettable. All you’ve got to do is show up—we’ll take care of the rest.
