About Your Trip

This full-day trip is designed to make the most of the world-renowned offshore fishing off the coast of San Diego.
This fisherman's paradise is fed by cold, rich water from deep in the Pacific, and the support a superb marine ecosystem with a huge diversity of top-notch sport and game species, all of which you can go after with Captain Ted.

On this trip, Captain Ted will take you offshore where you can go target
pelagic species such as Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Amberjack.
The season will determine the fish you target, but all of these fish are amazing fighters and some of the best-eating fish anywhere in the ocean.

Because there are so many species to target, you'll mix it up with several different fishing techniques including trolling, drifting, and more. Depending on the season, weather, and your fishing preferences, Captain Ted will make sure that you're equipped with the right gear and tackle to get the job done.

You'll be out there aboard his 50' Symbol sportfisher. Originally built in 1985, she had a complete re-fit in 2000 and has been re-powered with twin Caterpillar 3126, 420-HP diesel engines.
Electronics include a Furuno 500 sidescan sonar (installed in 2021), the latest technology in up/down sonar, dispatch radio/Satellite communications, Simrad “halo” radar, and three GPS units with AIS.

She is equipped with a beautiful open galley and seating arrangement, huge fishing cockpit with combing, high side railings for easy and safe passage around the boat, plus outriggers and a huge flybridge that will accommodate everyone onboard.

She's also decked out with three live bait tanks (plus two backup bait pump systems) that can easily carry enough live bait for multi-day trips. The yacht also has many sleeping arrangements to accommodate many scenarios, and can sleep up to six guests in comfort. To include a private room for a couple, we can sleep two in the private masters queen bed, three in the forward stateroom, and one in the mid-ship bunk. There is one large private head aboard that is adjacent to both staterooms. This vessel is also a stable ride, with Westmar Gyro/Fins. All of this adds up to an incredible boat that will keep you safe and comfortable.

A continental breakfast is served with non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Feel free to bring your own beverages. Rods/reels, live bait and tackle are included, so all you need to bring is your sunscreen and your California Fishing Licenses!
