Bite is great at first loght for Redfish and Snook in the shallows in the Ormond Beach to Flager Beach area. Just fishing shrimp on a 1/0 SSW hook with a #5 split shot weight or no weight at all. Or if you have small finger mullet im hooking them on a 1/8oz or less jighead in the same spots. Port Orange is over run with Jacks in the river. Trolling has slowed a bit but the bottom is still producing. Large Almaco Jacks are beginning to show along with the usual Lane Snapper, Triggerfish, Blue Runners and the occasional small grouper.

Fishing has been awesome with a variety of species biting! Redfish, snook, flounder, and big jacks have been consistent with other species as well. It should be great fishing over the next few months with the mullet run right around the corner.

The nearshore bite has been great the last few weeks and should continue through August! Kingfish, tarpon, sharks, cobia and sailfish! The weather is hot but the August bite should match.

Captain Dan took us to scatter our mother's ashes at the beginning of September. He explained how the trip was going to proceed in a clear manner, and, included safety procedures. We felt comfortable and informed as Captain Dan took us to a beautiful spot for our ashes scattering. He allowed us to provide him with music in advance and then played it as we scattered our mother's ashes along the river it was very lovely and touching. Afterwards, he gave us a tour of the area were we watched the dolphins jump and learned a little about the history of the area. Thank you, Captain Dan for your thoughtfulness and making this special time memorable. We would certainly ride with you again.

Great fishing trip with Michael! We had an awesome time fishing with Michael! He was a great guide, knew exactly what he was doing, and made the whole experience a lot of fun. We caught a ton of fish, but honestly, the great conversation and laid-back atmosphere made the trip even better. Michael was friendly, knowledgeable, and just an all-around great guy to spend the day on the water with.
