Fishing is starting to pick up around St Augustine, our Mullet, migration has started early so the tarpon and redfish, mangrove snapper and flounder are starting to bite, thanks again

Bite is great at first loght for Redfish and Snook in the shallows in the Ormond Beach to Flager Beach area. Just fishing shrimp on a 1/0 SSW hook with a #5 split shot weight or no weight at all. Or if you have small finger mullet im hooking them on a 1/8oz or less jighead in the same spots. Port Orange is over run with Jacks in the river. Free line a live shrimp behind the boat while drifting the channel. For more fun tie on a topwater walking bait with at least 30lb mono. Jacks are ranging from...

Trolling has slowed a bit but the bottom is still producing. Large Almaco Jacks are beginning to show along with the usual Lane Snapper, Triggerfish, Blue Runners and the occasional small grouper.

Fishing has been awesome with a variety of species biting! Redfish, snook, flounder, and big jacks have been consistent with other species as well. It should be great fishing over the next few months with the mullet run right around the corner.

The nearshore bite has been great the last few weeks and should continue through August! Kingfish, tarpon, sharks, cobia and sailfish! The weather is hot but the August bite should match.

Bottom has started to slow down closer to shore but the trolling has helped make up for it. Almaco jacks are becoming more consistent on the bottom. Barracudas and Mackerel have been making appearances on the troll.
