Thanks for reaching out. I have been fishing mostly inshore recently. We have been catching a lot of trout, redfish, & blackdrum. Last week I fished in the Mosquito Lagoon and we got into a school of 1000+ large black drum. Hopefully the fishing continues to be good with this warmer weather. Thanks again for reaching out!

The fishing has been good to excellent on the Indian and Banana River Lagoons near Melbourne, FL. What I mean by that is, we have had very cold weather, especially in the mornings and on the back side of cold fronts. The cold weather slows the bite way down. On warmer, sunnier days, and especially in the afternoon, fishing can be excellent. It looks like our little section of the lagoons from Cocoa Beach to Grant has been mostly (but not all, some tarpon and snook died in shallow sections) spared from the fish kill ð. Here's the report (please make it my caption): 🎣 The fishing has been excellent for the last month on the Indian and Banana River Lagoons near Melbourne, FL. We had awesome fishing Redfish, Black Drum, Seatrout, and Mangrove Snappers. We still had a decent sheepshead bite as well.
🧊 The return of colder weather is forecast for the foreseeable future. The cold weather will kick the Redfish and Sheepshead fishing back into high gear. Black Drum and Seatrout will be consistently good as well.
