Lots of snook redfish and trout in the bay. Starting to see some tarpon show up. Offshore it's been too windy to get out there but there is Cobia and kingfish here now.

The redfish bite in Tampa Bay right now is absolutely on fire—arguably the best it’s been in the last three years. Anglers are reporting strong numbers of slot-sized reds, and even some overslot bruisers showing up around the mangroves, oyster bars, and grass flats. The water temps have warmed just enough to get them feeding aggressively, especially on moving tides. What’s really exciting is the consistency. It’s not just a few hot spots—it’s bay-wide. From the flats near Weedon Island to the mangroves of Cockroach Bay and the spoil islands around Fort De Soto, redfish are cruising in solid schools...

From the flats near Weedon Island to the mangroves of Cockroach Bay and the spoil islands around Fort De Soto, redfish are cruising in solid schools again. Live bait like pinfish and greenbacks are working well, but artificials like gold spoons, paddletails, and topwaters early morning are getting crushed too. This kind of action hasn’t been seen since before some of the red tide issues, so local anglers are pumped. It’s a good sign for the health of the fishery and definitely a moment worth taking advantage of if you’re fishing Tampa Bay right now.
Groupers have been chewing consistently, and they are eating everything right now—cut bait, live bait, and artificials. Speckled trout have made a comeback in the bay area, and we are seeing a lot of overslots more consistently every day! Good eating meat in the box! They are eating live pinfish, shrimp, and white bait like they have never seen them before. Big black drums are showing up in good numbers on the bridges, and they are slamming the artificial and cut crabs. The snook and redfish are getting back to their normal spring patterns of eating cut bait, white bait,...

My guys had a great time on their fishing trip with Captain Nick! The trip was booked per my 10 year old son’s request, and he was accompanied by his step dad and grandpas. Nick was very pleasant and friendly, experienced, and treated my boy as one of his own. They all had a really great time and learned a lot during their trip. Thanks Captain Nick!
Alex is a consummate professional; demonstrates the uncommon ability to banter with and keep kids on the fish while being relatable to adults. If you want your crew to experience a great time and remain comfortable, this is your guy.
We had an amazing time with Dan. We caught plenty of fish and he was great with our kids. Highly recommend using Dan if you’re in the area and want to take the family out.
We arrived at the Dock to meet the Captain and get our trip underway ,Captain Tommy was awesome right from the start not to mention very nice boat with a lot of room and very fast !!! He was an awesome Fisherman and would teach and show his skill’s and would answer any questions. Captain Tommy would absolutely put you right on the fish , if he didn’t like a spot he would drag and go somewhere else !! 10 out of 10 for us ,we would always book him if we are in the area. Hope to get him up to Destin sometime!!!
We had a rough day on the water. He is an amazing guide does everything and more to get you on fish and on the hook! I would highly recommend Matt as your next fishing guide! Great guy and very experienced when it comes to fishing the clear water area!
Captain Steven gave us a great trip catching fish. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and was a great experience overall. I recommend Captain Steven for those of you looking to take advantage of the Tampa experience.
