The winter bite has been consistent, good numbers of sheepshead, whiting and weakfish have been keeping customers busy, weather in the mornings has been a bit cool by our Florida standards and picking the spots to fish in the wind can be challenging this time of year but overall it has been a good last 10 days

Weather has been great this week and the bass are moving to spawning areas big time. Bass up to 7 pounds have been caught on a regular basis on wild shiners on west Lake Toho.

We have a very consistent trout bite with the current size ranging from 15"-21" along with a few kicker fish over 24". The snook have come out of the freeze pretty strong and we are catching good numbers of 18"-25" snook in creeks and canals where the water is warmer. Out on the flats we are having a fantastic season for redfish. My clients can expect 20 shots in a half day of fishing but the fish are challenging! Out on the flats we are having a fantastic season for redfish. My clients can expect 20 shots in a half day of fishing but the fish are challenging! The shallow winter pattern combined with crystal clear water will test any anglers abilities who targets them. They're a great warm up for bone fishing! We are getting shots at singles and schools of up to 50 fish. The average size for the redfish is getting better as well with most fish over 24" and some of the reds on the flats are over 30". They're a fly fisherman's dream!

Water temps are. Rising and bass are moving back up getting ready to spawn .live bait fishing has really been good lately .
Crappie fishing is also getting good here on the lake should anyone want to try some crappie !!!

The fishing the rest of this winter and spring is going to be one for the books. We are consistently getting 20+ shots in a half day. Quite of few of these shots are at schools of 10-30 redfish or black drum. The water is crystal clear and the fish are feeding great on artificials and flies. 🔥🔥Dropping Pigs 🐖🐖🐖 on the deck!!! 🔥🔥I got to take Noah and his grandpa out for an evening fishing trip! Noah is 14 years old and he absolutely killed it!!! In only 2hrs he caught like 15-20 fish and a bunch of giants!!!

I took my great friend and client Micah out yesterday and we completely wrecked the bass along with our hands! We caught somewhere between 50-60 bass we both lost count 😂 It was seriously a day to remember. Between not having time to talk because we caught so many fish to me somehow losing a rod over the side of boat because a little baby bass grabbed my lure and pulled my rod in when I was not looking. No worries I actually caught it back off the bottom of the lake with a giant weight and hook!!! Then Micah...

Then Micah caught 5 bass on his first 5 casts with an A-rig (He had never thrown one before) and some old guys were fishing near us and could not believe how many fish he kept catching on it while they could not catch anything. I promise you it’s not all the guide. Micah flat out knows how to catch bass!!! Thank you for the memories Micah that I will never forget!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking Lars, Caroline and Abby out fishing. These are the clients you dream of. 😄😄 Super nice and great company! What a great day! With this massive cold front coming through Florida a few days ago with nights being in the low 30s for 3 straight days. They did not bite that well until the afternoon. We still caught them, of course on shiners. 😉 The bite should be getting better and better as the days warm that water up a few degrees and they’re just about ready to spawn! So get ready to...
