Flounder fishing has been up and down with some good fish being caught on some days and them being hard to find on others. The mullet run has started to die off so the preferred Flounder bait, finger mullet, have become a challenge to get Fall back has been speckled trout with some really nice fish caught last weekend. Artificial, particularly soft plastics, have been producing uup against the grass lines on high tides. Sheepshead ought to start showing soon. Fishing Report for September 2024 Despite all the rain we had here in Florida the fishing has beeen great. The bull redfish have been on a pretty good feeding frenzy. The action has been good at the jetty and in the Amelia river system. The larger mullet have been found in good numbers, which is has been the bait of choice. The setup has been a 7 foot rod and a 6500 Penn reel or a 6000 Florida Fishing Products reel loaded with 65 lb Fins braid. A 4 foot 60 lb leader with a 7/0 Kahle hook. Cut the...

Jetty fishing has been good with the numbers of sheepshead dropping off but the fish are all quality. Redfish are biting good at jetties and creeks. Some good catches of speckled trout but lots of shorts.

Capt.Frank here with our Northeast Florida first weekend in February Fishing Report. Weather continues to be a challenge. Cold front after cold front has brought low temperatures and high winds to the area. Wild changes in barometric pressure has affected fishing. Nonetheless, on fishable days, there are fish to be caught. Inshore, the speckled seatrout bite has been pretty consistent with good catches of legal trout and some lower slot redfish. They are fired up on the wrecks with plenty of beeliners and triggers to mix in w them. Still seeing plenty of amberjacks as well. Inshore the sheepshead fishing is as good as it gets, with awesome numbers of trout and mangrove snappers.
