About Your Trip

Head out of Fernandina Beach, Florida with Captain Kenneth for a nearshore and offshore fishing trip that blends fast runs, productive wreck fishing, and steady bottom action in the rich Atlantic waters just off the First Coast. This trip runs aboard a 27 foot catamaran powered by twin 200 horsepower engines, offering a stable ride and the ability to quickly reach fishing grounds 10 to 25 miles offshore.

Once on the water, the focus is
split between bottom fishing and trolling around nearshore reefs and wrecks. These structures hold a wide variety of species throughout the year, creating consistent opportunities for both steady bites and surprise encounters. Depending on conditions, you may be dropping baits directly to hard bottom and wreck structure or covering water while trolling to locate active schools of fish.

Target species on this trip include snapper, sea bass, vermillion snapper, triggerfish, cobia, kingfish, and barracuda. Snapper and vermillion snapper are commonly found holding tight to reef edges and hard structure, providing steady action once the bite is located. Triggerfish often stack around the same areas, especially in season, requiring precise presentations near structure. Kingfish can appear while trolling open water or reef edges, striking quickly and delivering fast-paced runs. Cobia are a prized bonus species, often encountered cruising near structure or shadowing rays and other surface activity. Barracuda and sea bass round out the mix, adding variety and action throughout the day.

Captain Kenneth focuses on keeping lines in productive water by moving between wrecks, reefs, and trolling lanes based on conditions, bait presence, and current flow. This flexible approach helps maximize time on active fish rather than staying locked into one area.

All rods, reels, and tackle are provided, making this an easy, turnkey offshore experience. Guests should bring food, drinks, sunscreen, and any personal items needed for a full day on the water. This is a straightforward, action-oriented fishing trip out of Fernandina Beach built around productive structure, mixed species opportunities, and steady time on the rod with Captain Kenneth at the helm.
