Anglers have enjoyed good fishing for red drum in the upper slot size and over in the last few weeks and should only get better with big spacing fish, "bulls" should follow along late August and into September. Ocean fishing has been good nearshore and offshore.... lots of casting opportunities nearshore for bluefish and Spanish mackerel on light spinning gear as well as a splash of king mackerel and amberjack on live bait nearshore. If you find a happy pack of amberjacks you can get them to take topwater plugs and even fly tackle. Not to mention the sharks, plenty of action to those wanting to target sharks and many times even those anglers that don't want sharks.
