Blues arrived! better late than never. Waters have been cooling last 3 weeks from 87-85 degrees. Cold water currents are pushing in yellowfin tuna and juvenile mahi

Tarpon of all sizes are in the lagoons. Morning action has been better than afternoon. October, November and December are great months for Tarpon fishing in San Jose and Torrecillas Lagoons.

This week we had Hurricane Fiona and the Tarpon are eating aggressive. The North and Northeast of the Island are running 100%. Our Tarpon are resident Tarpon so we have them all year around. We are famous for the amount of Juvenile Tarpon in ours two Lagoons (San Jose and Torrecillas Lagoons). Average size are from 5 lbs to 20 lbs, but sometimes the BIg boys can wake up and fish are in the 50 lbs to 100 lbs

Fernando took me fishing in the lagoons around San Juan and did an excellent job teaching, conversing, and putting me on huge tarpon. He's a great guide and speaks perfect English (and Spanish) for those from the States. His style of fishing is a bit more active for both him and the client, as he will pole the boat in shallow water to sight-fish for monster tarpon feeding in the shallows. We had a great trip - if I did a better job taking his instruction I could have landed three or four tarpon. As it was, this novice bass fisherman landed one beautiful tarpon, hooked another monster that got away, and missed hook-sets on two others. It was an exciting day!
Great day on the water. Captain Javier is very knowledgeable and capable. He's intimatelyfamiliar with the San Jose inshore areas. Next time we'rein PR we plan on going off shore with him.
Fished with Francisco and had an amazing time. He was exceptionally patient and easy to talk to. Not to mention that he know where the fish are! Amazing trip!
Excellent tour! Armando was friendly, professional, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. Great experience, beautiful views, and highly recommended. Thank you!
My granddaughter and her boyfriend went out on a reef fishing trip with Juan. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were excited to have caught so many varieties of fish. Perfect trip if time is limited.
Gabriel was very engaging and personable. He definitely knew where to go in the lagoons-even though it was a tough day catching fish. I would definitely recommend using Magic Tarpon-especially if you prefer the calmer waters.
