Been waking up and stacking the gags lately! The bite has been producing both daytime and nighttime, with a mix of artificial lures and live bait putting fish in the boat.
During the day, we’ve been working lures around structure and targeting areas holding quality fish. Once the sun goes down, we’ve been switching things up and putting out lively baits, which have been getting some serious attention.

We’ve been putting some serious fish on deck lately — cobia, mangrove snapper, gag grouper, and red grouper have all been chewing.
We’re mixing it up and staying on the bite, using live bait, cut bait, shrimp, and throwing jigs, depending on what the fish want. And it hasn’t mattered whether we’re fishing daytime or after dark — the action has been steady.

Snook, trout and redfish are all in the mix right now with some larger fish mixed in.Healthy snook and redfish a being pulled out from under the mangrove tree lines. Live scaled sardines and pinfish have been the bait of choice! If you're looking for table fair you can't beat the mangrove snapper that are also feeding on scaled sardines and shrimp.

Red Snapper Season is open! We have been killing it on my long range trips. We have been catching Red snapper, mutton snapper, mangrove snapper, red grouper, scamp grouper, gag grouper ,yellowtail snapper, tuna, Mahi mahi and even sailfish. We run 80 miles one way offshore.
