Spring time fishing is in full swing. Redfish are big and eating almost daily and the trout fishing is picking up.

March is one of my favorite months to fish! So far we’ve been catching reds, sheepshead, pup drum, black drum, sting ray & a couple gafftop.

Last few trips have been mostly catch and release trips. Did not take a lot of pictures. Most days we are finding a good bite using artificial lures from the boat. Some days it takes time for the bite to materialize. Recent weather patterns are indicating an early spring. Water temperature have already reached mid 70 degrees. The shad spawn has already begun. So we will be using smaller baits to get our bites for the next 30days or so. Popping cork and shrimp will also become an effective method for catching fish.

Sheepshead season in full swing! Catching these "bay snappers" mostly on live shrimp and as we get to late February into March and April these fish will be bigger and even more plentiful

The backwater is holding lots of redfish, some trout and some large sheepsheads. We’re using live shrimp fishing 4 to 6 feet deep along rocks. Spring Break is right around the corner, it’s time to get your kids outdoors!
