About Your Trip

Spend the day with Stacks & Stringers and let them show you what makes the fishing in Matagorda so memorable! Capt. Jeff or Capt. Morgan will make your fishing experience a life long memory.

There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year.

On the day
of your trip you’re likely to spin using light tackle.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. You’re welcome to bring snacks to keep their stamina going!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 25’ JH OutlawCenter console with space for 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

Rods, reels, and tackle are included. Live bait is available for a fee.

Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don’t forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and a Hat. There will be some drinks water, soft drinks and Gatorade , but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Stacks & Stringers!
