Inshore fishing has remained consistent with the higher than normal wind conditions we have experienced over the past few weeks. I have been focusing on the backcountry channels and flats targeting Mangrove Snapper, Mackerel, Speckled Trout and Goliath Grouper. Snapper fishing has been very good producing catches in the 2-4lb range on a consistent basis with some larger fish in the mix. While targeting these Snapper I have also been dropping a big bait down for Goliath Grouper that provides excitement for all aboard. These fish have been averaging from 30lb to well over 100lbs and provide an ultimate battle...

With the Fall Season upon us, the weather has been a little windy, but we're still getting some pretty good catches. Here's some pictures from my last trip, We were able to put together a mixed bag of Tarpon, Redfish Jacks and Snook.

It's been a windy few weeks with multiple cold fronts pushing through. Which has gave way to some excellent patch reef fishing . Many keeper mutton's have moved shallow with some being caught over 18 pounds in less then 17 ft of water . Not to mention decent yellowtails , red grouper , lane snappers ,mackerels and more . On the inshore side bait has been thick giving way to many great opportunities for tarpon snook , and plus sized mangrove snappers . Plenty of action to be had !

It's that time of year where the water cools and the reef fishing starts to heat up. Plenty of healthy mutton snapper in the shallows along with mangroves and the occasional grouper with some too big to stop before getting you back in the reef. Also the cooler water means Sailfish. Winter time sailfishing is one of the most sought after fisheries during the winter months with multiple hookups and releases being pretty consistent.

Fall fishing has begun , bringing some great offshore , inshore , and near shore fishing opportunities! This is our favorite time of year . Wrecks fishing is starting to heat up with flag yellow tail, mutton's and more . Lobstering is definitely always i. The back of our minds when conditions are favorable and we had some decent luck between patch reef fishing . Offshore mahi are still around and we finally starting to see some larger sized schools of fish show up . Over all beginning of fall season has been solid and we look forward to seeing

Long time client out for a day of backcountry fishing landed some nice redfish on a recent trip. Fishing buddies and regular customers, Doug and Jim, had another successful day of snook fishing near Cape Sable in Everglades National Park. Landing 9 snook in total.
