Epic Start to 2025 Deep-Sea Fishing in Fort Lauderdale! What a wild start to 2025! Our bottom fishing on January 1st was nothing short of incredible. We pulled up some XL Vermilion Snappersβby far the biggest Iβve ever seenβalong with a steady bite of groupers, which is rare off Fort Lauderdale. Iβve never seen the grouper bite so strong around here! The only downside? They went out of season at midnight on December 31st. Iβve never seen the grouper bite so strong around here! The only downside? They went out of season at midnight on December 31st. But no worriesβon January 2nd, the groupers were still biting like crazy, and even though we had to release them, the Vermilion snappers were still putting on a show. We had solid action for three days straight, releasing 13 groupers in total and making sure they went back to the bottom safe and sound. The weather has been phenomenal, with calm seas and temperatures in the mid-60sβperfect for fishing. We also caught some great-eating fish, adding to the fun. And with a cold front on the way, weβre excitedβcold fronts often bring Sailfish through, and weβre ready for the action! Looking forward to more epic fishing days ahead.
a little slow weather's been up and down still catching good quantities of peacocks out in the Everglades Okeechobee a handful of fish too big ones should be moving in when there's moon

It was a great day on the water. We were able to catch a few peacock bass and lots of largemouth. Roy was well prepared, good at coaching, knowledgeable about the waters and put us on fish.
Roy was an absolute blast to spend time with on the water. Many fish were caught including largemouth bass and some sunnies. I got lucky with a cancellation and it was a 1:1 experience. We both fished and talked about everything under the sun. Good times!
Roy was one of the best guiding trips Iβve ever been on! Very funny but also super informative and patient if you are a beginner! If you are in Florida you gotta check out this bass fishing guide!
Roy is a gregarious and very knowledgeable guide, and overall a good dude. We had a memorable day on the water with Roy in the Everglades, catching Peacocks and a few surprises thrown in, such as Crappie and Oscar. I will book with Roy again in the future.
