The bite has been consistent. The mornings have produced some big Kingfish early and some monster Amberjacks mid day. Barracudas are everywhere right now. On the bottom, there have been some really big Mutton Snapper, nice Mangrove Snapper in a little shallower. An occasional Sailfish or two have been showing up late afternoon. The Mahi are way out deep, about 10 miles offshore with some small schools of big Blackfin Tuna. The Sharks were gone for the last 10 days but are now back, hanging out around the deeper shipwrecks. We caught two huge Black Groupers a few days ago and pulled the hook on several smaller ones.

Sailfish and mahi-mahi have been showing up consistently; live baiting and trolling have been working very effectively; no need to head too far offshore. All these fish are on the reef or no further than the 50 line. Use fresh baits. Book a three-quarter day trip to give your crew enough time to put you on a fish of a lifetime. Springtime is here, big smoker. Kingfish should be showing up soon, and don't forget, folks, summer is here.

If you have kids, or a group of friends or just you and your partner Anthony is the guide to choose!!! Anthony is very communicative and personable. He fosters an environment of comfort, laughter and adventure! He's outgoing, energetic, knowledgeable, kind, adventurous, kid oriented, willing to help!!! He made contact with us immediately after booking our trip to give us an overview of the experience. We were an hour late to our experience due to traffic and GPS misguidance Anthony was patient and assisted us in getting to the correct location. This experience was nothing short of a dream. Anthony is clearly passionate about what he does and its contagious. He is knowledgable, willing to help, outgoing, full of energy, adventurous, willing to go the extra mile for the sake of his clients!! Best experience and guide we could have asked for, for mine and my partners first time and my 14 year olds first time. We got to catch the fish we came for and some!! Anthony frequently checked in with us to verify comfort and frequently offered refreshments. Anthony went the extra mile to ensure that me, my boyfriend, and our daughter had the experience of a life time!! He took his time and didn't rush anything. We didn't just have an awesome experience and time fishing, we feel we made a friend! We went out with Captain Anthony last night and had a wonderful time. A native Miamian, he knew the area and knewvwhere the fish were. We had my 12 year old nephew with us and Anthony was great with him. He took the time to instruct the young lad in proper technique and made sure his rig was baited up and in the water as much as possible. The result? My little nephew outfished us all and he was thrilled. The only problem is we cant shut him up. He is still going on about the adventure declaring it his "best fishing trip ever". We tied into several tarpon that bested us novice tarpon fisherman, but came home with a nice mess of large mangrove snapper that we a lot of fun to catch and are now being breaded, fried and served up with slaw, hushpuppies and fries for a real southern lunch. The big ones are going on the grill whole to be deboned table-side with garlic lemon butter and served with mushroom risotto and ceasar salad. Plenty for the whole family. I heartily recommend a trip out with Captain Anthony for a good time, good eats and memories for a lifetime. Thank you Captain!
