Cold front temperatures are from the high 70s to low 60s but on the temperature up side fish are feeding hard from adult size tarpon to large snook considering temperatures in the rest of the country Florida Keys are a great escape.

Winner is in full winter is in full swing with 70° temperatures during the day and fantastic sale fishing, the King mackerels are around to bend the rod, as well as some really nice tuners. The mutton snappers have moved into the deep water of course groupers are closed so we don't fish for them and basically it's just my favorite time of year. nothing is more fun than hooking up to a sale Fish and watching him job and having the boat back down on them for the real excitement on the right weather day, put the Kites up so you can see him eat debate while you're watching them. Best thing in the world.

The trip was as much as we hoped for…good weather, great crew, and some fish to be cooked at a local restaurant. Capt. Ron was a true professional. He called me the morning of our departure to ensure we were still interested in the fishing trip since the weather was not fantastic (high winds). He provided details about the length of time to travel to/from the fishing spot and conditions while fishing. When we arrived (earlier than scheduled departure time) he was ready and willing to get started early. He put us on the fish and showed us how to cast and catch. We caught so may fish we could not take time to take pictures (except the few attached). It was an awesome experience and hope to book with Ron next time we are in Islamorada. 10 thumbs up!!

Took a trip out with my dad and we had a fantastic time. Captain Ken put us right on the fish throughout the entire day with ease. We were able to catch multiple species of fish steadily throughout the entire day without any lapse. In addition to catching big fish, we were able to see a nice variety of wildlife (dolphins, sharks, osprey, saltwater crocs, numerous species of birds). I would highly recommend booking a full day trip with Captain Ken. You will catch high quality fish and have a very pleasant day.
