Fishing is getting good in Matagorda. Lots of tailing and schooling reds near deeper bars and reefs. Water temps have actually cooled down a little to the mid 80's. The best is yet to come with cooler weather during late September on into November. Let's go chase some reds!

Fishing has been great with tides moving back in for the redfish in back lakes. Great fishing in the surf as well when the winds are calm. Lots of heavy pulls and tight lines in matagorda.

We are still catching limits of trout with live shrimp in Upper Galveston Bay adjacent to deep structure. Best bite has been early morning with moderate tidal flow.

Offshore remains good for sow Red Snapper & big Mangrove snapper over wrecks on live bait.

Jody was a great guide! Our group of 4 was a last minute booking and he was a true professional, and got us on fish! 4 limits of trout on an afternoon trip, plus oversized catch and release fish. Efficient use of time getting us to spots, good intuition on when to stay put or move spots. He was a helpful coach and easy to get along with out on the water.

Memories were made that will never be forgotten.....We took our 15 year old grandson on our fishing trip with Pat. The trip was memorable for multiple reasons. Pat was very professional, cheerful and very accommodating. He took us to where the redfish were biting and our grandson landed his first really big Redfish - one of many we caught during our time with Pat. It was thrilling for all of us as we all managed to land very Large Redfish with Pat's help. We also landed some nice trout during our outing. Would definitely recommend Pat as a guide we had a great time

He knew the spots where the fish would be hitting, and we caught our limit of trout.
