The winds are not the problem, it is the salinity in the water that is causing it to be difficult to find fish, salinity is 3 x's what it should be due to the lack of fresh water.

Rockport has been steady with good trout holding in the deeper water in late morning. Red fish are still hit or miss. Still having best results on wade trips.
Lower Laguana: nice trout being caught on croaker and artificial up and down the king ranch shore line. Best bite is early morning. Once the winds pick up, bite is dying off quickly.

Well floundering. has been great. 15-20 flounder every night. The biggest one was 19 1/4 inches long average being
15-18 inches. Next real good times to book are last week of October and December 15-30

    Tommy could not have been more easy going, I took my 14 year old daughter and he could not have more patient with her. We caught a tagged red, along with multiple other keepers.     I brought my teenage sons to Rockport for their first red trip. Tommy was the perfect guide for us. He was patient, helpful and took the time to teach us about the reds and how they move. He talked to them about proper technique and how important it is to be patient. Tommy is the best. And he put us on fish as soon as the anchor dropped. The boys had the best day they’ve ever had fishing. We landed ten and put 6 in the cooler. My son Zeke landed the red of the day at 31.5”. He gladly released the fatty when Tommy explained the importance of those big fish to the breeding cycle. All in all a perfect day on the water thanks to Tommy. We’ll see you again Captain.

    Redfish Success with Captain Tommy – Rockport, TX Despite a windy day and high water near Aransas Pass, Captain Tommy put us right on the fish. The flats were tough, but he still knocked out a two-man limit of redfish in just three hours—no small feat under those conditions. His personality was a great mix of humor and local know-how. While he didn’t spill too many trade secrets (understandably!), he kept the trip engaging and productive. If you’re chasing reds around Rockport, he’s absolutely worth booking. Solid guide, solid results.
