About Your Trip

Head out onto the productive waters around Rockport for an awesome day of fishing with Captain Toby. He’s been fishing these waters since he was a kid, with his father as the guide he started learning the tips and tricks of the trade at a very young age. Now with his own charter business, he specializes in fishing the intricate bay systems around Rockport, so whatever your age or skill level, you’re in for a trip to remember.

His boat is a 22’ Majek bay boat that runs on a powerful 225 HP Yamaha V6 outboard engine. There’s enough room here for up to 4 anglers, so it’s perfect if you’re looking to have a good time together with your family. With all the necessary safety gear and navigation electronics on board, you can look forward to a safe and productive trip.

Of course, the main thing you need for a productive trip is a lot of fish, and these waters can provide just that! It’s an inshore paradise where you’ll be going after the likes of Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and more. You never really know what you’ll find on the end of your line!

All the rods, reels, tackle and bait you’ll need are included in the trip price. Not only that, but Captain Toby will clean and bag your catch as well as offer a few suggestions on how to cook them. You’ll need to bring a valid fishing license with you, along with any drinks and snacks you’d like to have for the day. Come on down to Rockport and get some quality fishing done!

Slow day fishing. Only two keepers.
Capt Toby tried to put us on fish, but no luck. Best to bring your own snacks and drinks.

This is a review of the trip, not Capt. Toby: we were not productive and failed to bring home any fish from the trip. In talking with others (fishing and captains), it was pretty universal for the day. Had been a lot of pressure from the previous week and very windy. We left on time (a big deal with me if I have to be up that early!) and the equipment was in good working order. The results get zero stars, but the captain gets the three stars for trying what he could to be on fish. Friendly guy with good instruction. I would fish with Toby again.
